The challenge
A season that arrives all at once. Back-to-school buying compresses a year of demand into a few weeks, and a large share of the traffic never reaches a cart — parents compare kit lists across suppliers before committing to any of them. Cart recovery alone only ever addressed half the loss.
What changed
Recovery at the cart
The integration captures kit contents and pricing as they are added, so reminders carry the exact list a parent had assembled. Cart recovery ran at 5.6% and returned $171K over the quarter.
A second layer for browsers
Browse abandonment reaches the shoppers who looked but never added anything — the ones cart recovery cannot see. It added 13,053 reachable sessions and $31K in its own right.
Browse performance built through the season
Browse recovery climbed from 0.5% to 1.8% across the quarter as the sequence tuned to how the season's buyers actually behave, rather than starting at a fixed default and staying there.
